Not too late for light

One of the common misconceptions we hear is that adding supplemental lighting is only good when the days are getting shorter. That is, it is best to avoid such a steep drop in egg production for hens as days drop down to 12 hours or so.

However, adding supplemental light from the winter going into spring can also be incredibly helpful. It in fact can help you hens increase egg production quicker, as they are already naturally doing with the days getting longer and longer.

That being said, there are some incredibly useful tips, including those from our friends at Off The Grid News, who have 6 fantastic tips on helping your hens help you celebrate the new year with more eggs.

Stay tuned to more from Henlight in 2017, as we will be releasing some exciting new solutions to help good farmers do well.
